Clayton Hearing provides hearing services to adults across Hervey Bay and surrounding areas, with a focus on accurate testing, personalised fittings, and long-term hearing support.
We offer on-site services including diagnostic hearing tests, hearing aid fittings, ear wax removal, pre-employment hearing assessments, and ongoing device maintenance. Custom hearing protection is also available, with fittings carried out in clinic.
Our hearing clinic is accredited by the Hearing Services program and registered to support eligible government and DVA veteran clients through fully funded hearing programs. Clients who qualify receive services with no out-of-pocket costs, as well as free batteries and maintenance under the HSP program.

What We Do
Diagnostic Hearing Tests
We perform calibrated
hearing tests to assess hearing levels and detect signs of hearing loss. Results support treatment decisions, rehabilitation planning, or hearing aid selection where appropriate.
Aural Rehabilitation
We help clients adjust to hearing aids and manage hearing loss using
practical strategies, communication techniques, and guidance tailored to their daily listening environments.
Wax Removal & Management
We use safe, clinically guided methods to remove
ear wax and reduce blockage. This helps improve hearing clarity, relieve discomfort, and support long-term ear health.
Pre-Employment Hearing Assessments
Our
pre-employment hearing assessments support workplace readiness. We conduct hearing tests conditions and provide documentation suitable for job applications or onboarding requirements.
Custom Hearing Protection
Custom-moulded earplugs are fitted to reduce noise exposure in loud environments. We offer solutions for work, music, and recreation that balance protection and comfort.
Hearing Aid Fittings
We complete a full hearing assessment and
fit devices suited to each client’s needs and lifestyle. Guidance is provided on daily use, care, adjustment, and long-term maintenance.
Hearing Aid Repairs & Maintenance
Clients access
maintenance, troubleshooting, and cleaning support to keep hearing aids working effectively. We offer repairs and adjustments based on individual device needs.
Assistive Listening Devices
We offer
devices like amplified phones, TV headsets, and alert systems to support everyday hearing. Each product is recommended based on the client’s hearing needs, home setup, and routine.
